This Saturday March 1, 2008 at 9pm my dance company, 32 Flavors, will be doing a show with guest Flux Dance Project. I am excited for the show because we will not only be showing choreographed works but 32 Flavors will open the show with an improvisational piece and the show will end with a improvisational collaboration between us and Flux. Sometimes the most amazing works come out of moments where you must listen to those that you are dancing with and you don’t have any preconceived knowledge of the result. I am also very excited to be premiering my new solo work, Hung up, which is choreographed to a repetition of Sufjan Stevens’ Dress Looks Nice On You.
